SAE Seaweed began not with a laboratory, but with a beach. Jade and Dan Scott discovered the extraordinary potential of Dorset's wild seaweed while launching their beloved seaweed spa baths at Middle Beach, Studland Bay — a stretch of Jurassic Coast so untouched it feels like another world.
What started as a therapeutic bathing ritual evolved into something far greater: a realisation that the seaweed they harvested by hand each morning — licensed by the Crown Estate and in active partnership with Natural England — contained minerals, vitamins and bioactive compounds that the wider skincare industry had overlooked for decades.
Every product in the SAE range begins with wild seaweed harvested at low tide in small batches. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just two people, the coast, and a deep, abiding respect for what the sea has to give.
